Stevenson PACT: Progressive Education, Developmental Curriculum, Whole Child Approach
Stevenson Elementary School, a public K-5 school in Mountain View Whisman School District (MVWSD), is the home of a popular Choice program that offers progressive education and a developmental curriculum. Although the program has found its own campus at the reopened Stevenson site only since 2009, PACT has successfully run since 1996 and has been designated alternative school status since 2001. Under the district's Choice program guidelines, PACT School accepts students from all neighborhoods within the district, adheres to all California educational standards, and conforms to all public funding and staffing requirements. MVWSD presently does not allow inter-district transfers into PACT.
Stevenson PACT School Vision Statement

Core Values
At Stevenson PACT School, we (staff, teachers, parents and students):
|
PArent, Child, Teacher (PACT)
Progressive education and implementation of a developmental curriculum require close collaboration between parents, children and teachers. In other words, parent participation is essential. Parents are expected not only to help on-campus education, but also to apply the same principles you have learned in Parent Ed at home and anywhere you interact with children.
