So you have enrolled your child(ren). What next?
PACT Parent Yearly Tasks
This is a reminder of administrative tasks every family needs to complete at the beginning of every school year.
1. Parent Commitment Agreement
Creating a successful, progressive learning environment requires a commitment of time and resources from all PACT parents. Each year, PACT families need to renew their commitments. One response per family is required every year.
2. Committee Sign-up (Returning families log in here)
Each family needs to fulfill one committee job. There are many options that fit different interests. Log in to see a list of detailed committee descriptions and "job" openings. Choose several committees you would like to contribute, then follow instructions to sign up. PACT needs you!
While all committees are important in enriching the education for our kids, a number of committees directly support classroom education and require significant support from parent volunteers. These committees need your serious consideration: Parent Education, Arts Focus, Garden, Library, Site Safety, Walk-a-Thon and Fundraising. When selecting your top three committee preferences, please consider including at least one of these committees. This will help to ensure that our school community’s needs are sufficiently supported and we can better plan for another successful school year.
3. Annual Family Donation
To cove r the costs of Stevenson PACT’s progressive education program currently not fully funded by the District, the school relies on the generous support of every family. To meet the needs of our growing school, the PACT Foundation requests an annual family donation of $300 per child enrolled at Stevenson PACT.
Please give what suits your family's budget. The goal is 100% participation. Regardless of the amount, your donation will have an immediate and tangible impact on all of the students here at Stevenson PACT. THANK YOU for your kind support!
4. OLE Driver Paperwork
Awesome Offsite Learning Excursions (OLEs) need parents to support. One way to support OLEs is to have your driver authorization paperwork ready (it needs to be updated every year). The documents you need to become an approved driver are listed below. Please turn them in at the office soon, so you can start driving on field trips!
- Fill out the district form.
- A copy of your driver's license
- A copy of the declaration page from your auto insurance. If your current insurance coverage is below the district requirement (see details in district form), please call your insurance company about increasing the coverage.
- A copy of your driving record from the DMV
- If you were an authorized driver last year, the easiest way is to obtain your DMV record online. There is a $2 fee ($5 in person)
- If this is your first time getting authorized, you need to use the DMV form INF1125 by mail or in person. Please check the DMV website for more info
In addition...
You may need to submit documents about health check, immunization, etc. according to the district's schedule.
Finally, each family needs to complete a return student survey near the district's enrollment period to indicate whether your child(ren) will return to PACT next school year or not.
